Phoenix model build experience

I purchased the Phoenix Metal Model, along with some precision tweezers, and started on it last weekend. The ordering process was smooth, and the website was easy to navigate. Delivery took about a week, and everything arrived well-packaged without any damage. The model pieces themselves are quite small and delicate, so the precision tweezers were definitely a good call. The instructions were mostly visual, which worked well for me, though a few parts required a bit of guesswork to get the right angle. The finished Phoenix looks very impressive, much more intricate than I expected. It's a challenging build, but very rewarding once done. I reached out to customer service about a missing small piece (my fault, I think I dropped it), and they were quick to respond and offered to send a replacement, which was great. Just be prepared for a detailed build if you pick one of these.

Good kit, slow shipping

I ordered the Mechanical Wolf 3D Metal Model Kit. The kit itself was well-made, and the instructions were fairly clear, though some steps were a bit tricky. The finished product looks great on my shelf. My only real complaint was the shipping time; it took about 9 days to get to me in Arizona, which felt a little long compared to other online stores. Customer service was helpful when I inquired about the delay, which was a plus. Overall, it's good value, but they could definitely speed up delivery.

Fun little build

I grabbed the Steampunk Owl model a while back. It was pretty fun to put together on a rainy afternoon. The pieces fit well, and it wasn't too hard. It sits on my desk now. Good way to spend some time, and it looks cool.

Amazing Scorpion model

I just finished building the Scorpion Metal Puzzle and it's fantastic! The detail is incredible, and putting it together was so much fun. It looks amazing on my desk. I'm already planning my next purchase, probably one of the dragon models. Highly recommend Metalkitor to anyone who loves a good challenge!

Do these models actually move or are they just static once built? Like the engine model, is it functional?

N Nina Hughes 3 weeks ago
The engine model specifically, no, it's not a working engine. It's an awesome display piece though.

Most of them are static display models. The 'functional' part usually means the gears turn manually or something, but it won't like, run on its own.

Hey, thinking about grabbing that Mechanical Wolf kit. Anyone know how long shipping usually takes to, say, California?

K Kevin Carter 1 month ago
Mine took about a week and a half to get to LA. Wasn't too bad.

Yeah, I ordered the pirate ship one last month to NorCal, got it in like 8-10 days, pretty standard for online stuff.

Anyone know if you can use more than one discount code? Got a first-time buyer one but also saw a holiday sale mentioned.

P Priya 1 month ago
Nah, usually it's one code per order. Tried to stack before, didn't work for me.

I think their system only lets you apply one code at a time. Pick the best one you have!

Are these kits super hard? I'm kinda new to 3D puzzles but the steampunk owl looks awesome.

D David 1 month ago
Some of them are definitely more complex. The owls and insects are usually a good starting point, not super frustrating.

I'd say for a beginner, maybe avoid the V8 engine right away lol. But most of the animal ones are totally doable if you take your time.

Thinking about the scorpion, but also looking at Metal Earth. How do these compare to Metal Earth kits?

O Omar M. 3 weeks ago
Metalkitor ones tend to be a bit more intricate and often larger than typical Metal Earth stuff, at least in my experience. The detail is really good.

I'd say Metalkitor often feels a bit more 'premium' and sometimes more complex to build than Metal Earth. Both are cool, but Metalkitor has some unique designs.

Is metalkitor a legit site? Seen some cool stuff but wanna make sure it's not a scam.

T Tom M. 1 month ago
Yeah, they're totally legit. I've ordered a few times and always got what I paid for. Quality is good too.

What's the deal with returns if I buy one and decide it's not for me? Is it a pain?

S Steve 1 month ago
I had to return a duplicate gift once, it was pretty straightforward actually. Just contact them through the site.

From what I remember, as long as it's unopened, returns are fine. Check their policy page for the exact details though, it's been a bit since I looked.
